Erivaldo Cícero de Oliveira, known artistically as Erivaldo de Carira, is a celebrated Brazilian forró musician, singer, and composer hailing from Carira, Sergipe. Born on October 16, 1949, he is the son of "Manezinho do Carira," a respected eight-bass accordionist, and Dona Julita. Erivaldo began his musical journey at the tender age of ten, learning to play the accordion under his father's tutelage. His career truly took flight in his late teens, and over the decades, he has become a prominent figure in Northeastern Brazilian music.

Throughout his extensive career, Erivaldo de Carira has released numerous LPs and CDs, with "Fazenda Velha" often cited as one of his most iconic songs, having been re-recorded multiple times. His discography includes albums such as "Forró a Brasileira," "Mate Sua Sede," "Mistura de Forró," "Meu Forró é Assim," and "Ainda Sou Bom Nisso." He has shared stages and collaborated with legendary artists like Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Flávio José, Clemilda, and Sivuca, solidifying his place among the greats of Brazilian forró music.
