Biography

Executer is a prominent Brazilian thrash metal band established in 1987 within the city of Amparo, São Paulo. The original lineup featured Juca on vocals and bass, Paulo and Elias on guitars, and Beba on drums. Gaining early traction with a series of demo tapes starting in 1988, the group eventually released their critically acclaimed debut album, Rotten Authorities, in 1991 through Heavy Metal Maniac. This release arrived during the explosive nationwide thrash metal boom that also propelled fellow countrymen like Sepultura to international renown.

Following a period of inactivity after their debut album, the band reunited with their classic formation in 2000, with Paulo transitioning to bass and Juca focusing exclusively on vocals. This reunion led to the release of their second studio album, Psychotic Mind, in 2003, which significantly elevated their status and resulted in opening slots for prominent international and domestic acts such as Exodus, Shaman, and U.D.O. throughout 2004. Subsequent albums like Welcome to Your Hell in 2006 further solidified their endurance within the Brazilian extreme metal scene.

Marking their 25th anniversary in 2012, the band hosted the Executer Fest in Amparo, culminating in the live DVD 25 Years Thrashing Heads. They followed this milestone in 2014 with the release of their fourth full-length album, Helliday, which successfully propelled them to undertake their first European tour spanning 19 consecutive shows. Through decades of resilience, line-up evolutions, and international reach, Executer remains a respected cornerstone of Brazilian heavy metal history.
