Biography

Fábio Leandro is a Brazilian pianist, composer, arranger, and producer born on November 29, 1985, in São Paulo, SP. He began his musical studies in 1997 at the Universidade Livre de Música (now Emesp Tom Jobim), focusing on harmony, arrangement, and orchestration. His career gained momentum when he joined the Orquestra Jovem Tom Jobim from 2004 to 2006, and later participated in the "Piano na Praça" project in São Paulo in 2008.

Throughout his career, Leandro has collaborated with a diverse range of prominent Brazilian artists and projects, including Coisa Fina, Filó Machado, Rogério Botter Maio, Kinteto do Nenê, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Aláfia, Xênia França, and Liniker. His work extends to composing for dance, having created scores for the show "Gaia" by the Canadian company Dance Migration in 2016 and "Arquivo Negro" by Cia. Pé no Mundo in 2018. He has also been recognized for his piano skills, winning awards at the Concurso Guiomar Novaes in the popular piano category in 2020 and 2021.

Leandro's versatility is further demonstrated by his work as an arranger for the "Encontros Históricos" series with the Orquestra Brasil Jazz Sinfônica in 2023, and his participation in the show "Diálogo" and the album "Do Nilo" by singer Lilian Rocha in 2024. In 2025, he released the album "Los Abrazos," a collaboration recorded in Buenos Aires with Argentine singer Carla Vera. His music often blends popular tradition with his extensive experience in the instrumental music scene of São Paulo.
