Biography

Fabio Zaganin is a renowned Brazilian bassist, music educator, and composer, known for his refined technique and versatility over a career spanning more than thirty years. Born in São Paulo, SP, Zaganin began his musical journey in his teens, discovering his passion for the double bass around the age of 10. His musical education was shaped by self-taught research, listening to vinyl records, the radio, and attending live shows, in addition to having played in important bands during his formative years, such as Annubis, BR3, Pitbull, Legalize, Anjos Da Noite, and Hot Stuff (Portugal).

Throughout his career, Fabio Zaganin has collaborated and recorded with a wide range of national and international artists, including Marc Ford, Samuel Rosa, Edu Ardanuy, Kiko Loureiro, Wander Taffo, Heraldo do Monte, Hubert Sumlin, Luís Carlini, and André Christovam. In 2011, he released his first instrumental solo album, "Rumble Fish", which was critically acclaimed and demonstrated his skill as a composer and arranger. Currently, he is a member of the band ZFG MOB, develops solo projects, and accompanies bluesman André Christovam.

In addition to his work as a musician, Fabio Zaganin is a respected music educator. He has taught at institutions such as IB&T (Instituto de Baixo & Tecnologia) and has published books and video lessons dedicated to the study of the bass guitar. He also runs online courses, such as "Estudos de Contrabaixo" and "FZ Online", sharing his knowledge and experience with new generations of musicians. His influence also extends to instrument manufacturing, with the N. Zaganin line of bass guitars, which bears his name and reflects his specifications and technical demands.
