Biography

Felipe Barão is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, music producer, and choir conductor. With a career spanning over two decades, he has explored a wide range of musical styles, with a strong jazz influence in his original work. His musical journey includes work as a sideman, performances on Brazilian stages, and participation in renowned theatrical and musical projects.

In 2015, Felipe Barão released his EP "Excertos Textuais e Temporais", followed by the CD "Verdeazul". He was also a member of the instrumental band "+jazz" and worked as a guitarist in the play "Jim", a tribute to Jim Morrison starring actor Eriberto Leão. His versatility has led him to collaborate on various projects, including instrumental arrangements for the 80th-anniversary choir of Christ the Redeemer and productions for DVDs of artists such as Tuka Villa-Lobos.

In addition to his artistic career, Felipe Barão is dedicated to music education, teaching choir singing workshops and workshops on "The Musical 'Doing'". His academic research in ethnomusicology, focusing on Portuguese plucked string instruments, has resulted in publications and exhibitions. He is also recognized for his work in the duo "Os Barões da Pisadinha", alongside his brother Rodrigo Barão, which achieved great success in the northeastern musical scene.
