Biography

Fernandinho Beat Box, stage name of Fernando da Silva Pereira, was born in São Paulo on July 7, 1975. He is widely recognized as one of the pioneers and main propagators of beatbox and rap in the Brazilian music scene, having taken his art to several countries around the world. His artistic trajectory gained great momentum at the turn of the millennium, consolidating itself from major partnerships in the national urban scene.

Fernandinho's professional career began in 1999, when he joined the rap group Z'África Brasil alongside Gaspar. Years later, after leaving the group, he established an important stage partnership with singer Marcelo D2, with whom he began performing frequently. Alongside collaborations with other artists, he invested in his solo career as a rapper, culminating in the release of his first studio album, entitled Caminho Estreito, in May 2012.

The debut record featured prominent appearances of Brazilian music, such as Seu Jorge, Tita Lima, and Renan Samam, in addition to the release of high-impact audiovisual productions, such as the music video "Samba de Boca". Throughout his career, Fernandinho has also made appearances at important events and awards, in addition to expanding his work to television as a judge on musical talent shows.
