Biography

Fernando Deluqui Vasquez is a Brazilian guitarist, singer, and songwriter born in São Paulo on March 25, 1962. He first rose to prominence in the 1980s as one of the founding members of RPM, the iconic Brazilian rock band that defined a massive era of national pop-rock. Throughout his career, Deluqui established himself as one of the country's most prominent guitarists, contributing significantly to the band's massive commercial success alongside bandmates such as Luiz Schiavon.

Following various iterations and hiatuses of RPM, Deluqui expanded his musical journey by collaborating with fellow band member Paulo Ricardo on his solo projects and joining the acclaimed band Engenheiros do Hawaii in 1995 to record the album Simples de Coração. He also pursued a multifaceted solo career, releasing albums like Delux and instrumental works, while collaborating with prominent figures of the Brazilian music scene including Humberto Gessinger, Kiko Zambianchi, and Milton Nascimento.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Deluqui ventured into television, hosting the travel show Deluqui Nau on PlayTV. Following the passing of key members, he continued to preserve his musical heritage by forming RPM – O Legado, maintaining his enduring legacy in Brazilian rock history.
