Biography

Fi Maróstica is a highly respected Brazilian bassist, composer, arranger, and producer. Born in Ourinhos, São Paulo, he began his musical journey in the early 2010s, quickly establishing himself as a versatile instrumentalist.

Maróstica gained significant recognition for his work as a duo with singer Vanessa Moreno, with whom he released albums like "Vem ver" (2013) and "Cores Vivas: Canções de Gilberto Gil" (2016). This collaboration, often featuring just bass and voice, earned them awards for "Best Performer" and "Best Instrumentalist" at the VII Festival Botucanto. He has also been a member of various groups, including Cincado, Fábio Leal Quarteto, Trio Jabour, and Trio Oiticica.

In 2021, Maróstica released his debut solo album, "Visão do mar," a collection of nine original instrumental compositions. The album features collaborations with prominent Brazilian artists such as Mônica Salmaso, Tatiana Parra, and Filó Machado, showcasing his intricate compositions and sophisticated arrangements. His work as a producer has also been noteworthy, contributing to acclaimed albums by artists like Fabiana Cozza.
