Biography

Flávio Henrique was a prominent Brazilian singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and pianist born in Belo Horizonte. He began his professional musical journey alongside Robertinho Brant and André Limão, with whom he founded the musical group Candeia. Over his career, he amassed a vast catalog of over 80 recorded and interpreted songs, collaborating with iconic figures of Brazilian popular music such as Milton Nascimento and Ney Matogrosso.

Throughout his prolific career, he established notable creative partnerships with esteemed lyricists and composers like Ronaldo Bastos, Paulo César Pinheiro, and Fernando Brant. His discography includes acclaimed works such as his self-titled album with Marina Machado, "Aos Olhos de Guignard", and his collaborations with the group Cobra Coral. In addition to his solo and collaborative efforts, he made significant contributions to musical projects, including the children's musical "Presépio Cantado".

Flávio Henrique passed away on January 18, 2018, in his hometown of Belo Horizonte, due to complications from yellow fever during an outbreak in the country. His legacy endures through his rich body of work that helped shape the contemporary musical landscape of Minas Gerais, bridging traditional influences with modern arrangements alongside artists like Chico Amaral.
