Biography
Flor is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and music producer born in Rio de Janeiro on December 2, 2002. The daughter of the renowned artist Seu Jorge, Flor moved to Los Angeles, United States, at the age of 10, taking her rich Brazilian ancestry with her. Her musical background was shaped by this multicultural experience, resulting in a style that transitions harmoniously between Portuguese and English, and incorporates influences from various musical genres.
The artist began composing at an early age, writing her first song at 6 and recording "Pra Melhorar" with Marisa Monte at 18, a track she had written herself at 12. Her professional career gained prominence in 2021 with the release of the single "Macumbeira," which featured arrangements by maestro Arthur Verocai. In 2024, Flor released her first self-penned EP, "Prima," consisting of seven tracks that explore sounds such as pop, MPB, R&B, bossa nova, and jazz, demonstrating the versatility and musical identity she has been building.
Flor has already performed at major festivals such as SXSW, Rock The Mountain, and Nômade Festival, consolidating her presence in the music scene. Her music is marked by the fusion of Brazilian rhythms with global elements, addressing themes that range from personal and cultural experiences to reflections on spirituality and social issues.
