Biography

Forró do Muído is a Brazilian electronic forró band founded in 2007 by A3 Entretenimento. In its original lineup, the group stood out with the vocals of Bahian sisters Simone Mendes and Simaria Mendes, who previously worked as backing vocals for singer Frank Aguiar, alongside singer Binha Cardoso. The band quickly achieved great popularity in the Northeast region, consolidating its success in the states of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte throughout its early years of activity.

Throughout its trajectory, the group underwent several changes in its vocal lineup. In 2011, Binha Cardoso temporarily left the group to join Forró Boca a Boca, being replaced by Arnaldo Merlotto, known as Naldinho, before returning to the position months later. In early 2012, Simone and Simaria announced their permanent departure from the band to pursue a career as a duo, which generated great repercussion and mobilization of fans on social media.

Later, in 2013, Forró do Muído was acquired by TN Produções, under the leadership of Antônio Neto, known as Toinho, with singer Nathália Calasans, former member of Saia Rodada, taking over the lead vocals. The group maintained its relevance in the electronic forró scene, engaging with sounds that echoed the work of other exponents of the genre and renowned artists of northeastern music such as Frank Aguiar.
