Biography

Forró Esticado is a Brazilian electronic forró band, formed in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará. The band gained notoriety starting in 2014, when Jonas Mikael Costa Xavier, known as Jonas Esticado, took over the vocals.

In 2015, the band recorded their first live DVD in the city of Crato, Ceará, consolidating their presence in the northeastern music scene. After about two years leading Forró Esticado, Jonas Esticado began his solo career in 2016, keeping the name "Esticado" as part of his artistic identity.

The band is known for their forró with a more modern and danceable groove, incorporating elements of other popular rhythms. The band's musical style aligns with electronic forró, a subgenre that became popular in Brazil, especially in the Northeast.
