Biography
Forró Sacode is a Brazilian forró eletrônico band formed in 2001 in Ceará by singer and entrepreneur Tony Guerra. Guerra, after eight years of performing with various groups, decided to create his own band with a distinct style of playing forró. The band's debut occurred in Quixeramobim, Ceará, followed by numerous performances throughout the state's interior. In 2002, TV Diário recognized Forró Sacode as the "revelation band of the year" in forró music. Subsequently, the band expanded its reach to the capital of Ceará and began performing in neighboring states such as Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, and Maranhão.
In 2003, Forró Sacode released their first CD, "Eu sou safado...", which achieved significant commercial success, selling over 150,000 copies and earning a "Disco de Ouro" (Gold Record). The album featured popular tracks like "Fusquinha" and "Dona do meu prazer." That same year, the band performed on "Programa Especial de Sábado" on Rádio Imprensa FM in São Paulo. Their second CD, released in 2004, included hits such as "Não Paro" and "Sexy," also surpassing 100,000 sales and securing another "Disco de Ouro." Forró Sacode also participated in the "Forrozão da Imprensa" DVD in 2005, alongside other prominent forró bands.
The band's discography includes albums such as "Vol. 3" (2004), "Vol. 5" (2006), "Vol. 4" (2007), and "Sacode Brasil" (2017), which features Tony Guerra. Forró Sacode is known for its energetic forró eletrônico style, incorporating modern elements into traditional forró rhythms. The group has collaborated with or been associated with artists like Tony Guerra and Dany Rodrigues, who have served as vocalists. Their music often features themes of love, parties, and everyday life, resonating with a wide audience across Brazil.
