Biography

François Muleka is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist of Congolese descent, born in Brasília and deeply connected to the contemporary independent music scene. His work spans multiple artistic expressions, incorporating diverse musical influences that range from African pan-cultural sounds to Brazilian popular music. Alongside his solo career, he has built a strong collaborative footprint, working alongside notable artists such as Luedji Luna and Chico César.

Throughout his trajectory, Muleka has released several acclaimed albums, including his debut with Trio Karibu, "Karibu", followed by "Feijão e Sonho", "Fauno Aflora", "Caruagem", and "Algorítmico". His songwriting and multi-instrumental skills have shaped records across the Brazilian independent circuit, marked by intricate guitar work and boundary-pushing compositions. His co-authored track "Notícias de Salvador", written with his sister Marissol Mwaba, became widely known through the voice of Luedji Luna.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Muleka is also active as a visual artist and director, having showcased his art exhibition "Psicodelicado" and helmed projects for fellow musicians.
