Fred Liel, born Adliel Martins Rodrigues in Itumbiara, is a well-known Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist in the sertanejo genre. Inspired by family musical gatherings during his youth, he began performing in local bars at the tender age of 13 before establishing himself in the national country music scene. Throughout his career, he has collaborated and shared stages with numerous prominent acts, including Cristiano Araújo and Jorge & Mateus.
His journey in professional duos started with early projects like Diego & Dyliel before he co-founded the successful partnership Fred & Gustavo in 2008 alongside Daniel Rodrigues Alves. During his time in this duo, he co-wrote major hits and later pursued a solo career with albums like Sertanejeiro. In 2021, he teamed up with Fabrício Fiori to form the ongoing duo Fred & Fabrício.
Beyond performing, Liel has built a formidable reputation as a prolific songwriter within Brazilian sertanejo. His compositions have been recorded by superstars such as Luan Santana, Gusttavo Lima, and João Bosco & Vinícius, helping shape the contemporary sound of modern country music in Brazil.
