Biography

Gabriel Aragão is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and writer born in Fortaleza, Ceará. He is best known as the founder, vocalist, and guitarist of the rock band Selvagens à Procura de Lei, which he established in 2009 alongside fellow musician Rafael Martins. Beyond his work with the band, Aragão has developed a vibrant solo career, releasing projects such as the EP ABRECAMINHOS and the instrumental soundtrack for the short film Malhada Vermelha, which earned a nomination at the Prêmio de Música Brasileira. Throughout his musical journey, he has collaborated with numerous notable artists, including Rodger Rogério, Régis Damasceno, and Roberta Campos.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Aragão has established himself as a writer, contributing columns of poetry and chronicles to publications such as Revista Vós and the newspaper O Povo. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he compiled his writings into his debut book, O Livro das Impermanências. He is also dedicated to education, sharing his expertise in songwriting through his workshop Contando Histórias Com Música, where he mentors aspiring artists and helps bridge the gap for new composers in the Brazilian music scene.
