Biography

George Henrique & Rodrigo is a sertanejo duo formed by brothers George Henrique Guadelup de Carvalho and Rodrigo Guadelup de Carvalho, natives of Goiânia, Goiás. The duo began their journey in 2011, inspired by great sertanejo names like Bruno & Marrone and Jorge & Mateus. George Henrique, who was studying Biology, sang in bars while Rodrigo, who was more shy, was studying Business Administration. The combination of their voices proved to be perfect, and with family support, they began performing in bars in Goiânia.

The duo gained national notoriety with the release of the hit "Receita de Amar" in 2011, which caught the attention of Bruno, from the duo Bruno & Marrone, who became a recurring partner. Other hits such as "Amigo da Onça" (with Carlinhos Mendigo) and "Conto Até Dez" (with Jorge & Mateus) consolidated their career. Over the years, George Henrique & Rodrigo have released several albums and singles, such as "Ouça com o Coração" (2016), "De Copo em Copo" (2017) and "Bagunça Minha Vida" (2019), often featuring compositions by George Henrique.

In 2021, the partnership with Marília Mendonça on "Vai Lá em Casa Hoje" became a huge success, being one of the singer's final releases. The duo continued to chart hits and collaborate with renowned artists such as Zé Neto & Cristiano, Henrique & Juliano, Jorge & Mateus, and Murilo Huff. In 2025, the duo recorded the audiovisual project "Uma Nova História" in Brasília, marking a new phase in their career, with self-management and a signing with the record label Som Livre.
