Biography

Gerson Cardozo is a Brazilian gospel singer and evangelical bishop, born in Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro. Raised in a family with a Kardecist Spiritist background, he converted to Protestantism in his youth and began his pastoral journey very early, being consecrated a bishop at twenty-six years of age. Throughout his religious career, he was a member of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God for several years before founding the Transforming Lives Church (Igreja Transformando Vidas).

His musical career began to gain national prominence with the support of the record label Line Records, through which he released highly successful albums that earned him gold records certified by ABPD. Memorable songs in his discography feature compositions by renowned names in Christian music, such as Michael Sullivan and Tonny Sabetta. In his career, he stood out by winning the male revelation award at the Troféu Talento, sharing the spotlight with artists like Kléber Lucas.

After a long period dedicated entirely to pastoral ministry, the singer returned to recording projects with new releases and reinterpretations of his greatest hits on digital platforms. His work dialogues with the pentecostal and romantic gospel music branch, maintaining a strong appeal with the traditional evangelical public. Gerson Cardozo also shares his ministerial life with his wife, Suellen Lima Cruz Cardozo, and maintains family ties with fellow bishop Eduardo Cardozo.
