Biography
Getúlio Cavalcante Leite Filho, artistically known as Getúlio Abelha, was born in Teresina and has built a multifaceted artistic career spanning music, theater, and dance. The artist first gained prominence in 2011 by taking the stage at a Britney Spears concert and later completed his degree in performing arts at the Federal University of Ceará. Adopting his stage name in honor of singer Paulinha Abelha, he began his independent music career in 2017 with singles like "Laricado" and "Tamanco de Fogo," expanding his fan base and performing at national festivals.
His popularity grew even further after starring in viral internet moments, such as his rendition of a Calcinha Preta hit at a karaoke contest, in addition to collaborating on remixes with nationally prominent artists like Pabllo Vittar. In 2021, he released his acclaimed debut album, "Marmota," which blends electronic forró, traditional forró, ballroom, and rap, addressing social and political themes. More recently, the singer moved to São Paulo, where he continued to expand his sound with influences from bolero, brega, and funk, culminating in the release of his EP "Autópsia" in 2025.
