Gilberto Teixeira, widely known by his artistic persona CaraForró, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, cultural producer, and environmentalist born in Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte. Over the course of his career, he has been deeply involved in preserving and promoting traditional northeastern Brazilian music and culture, particularly within the state of Rio de Janeiro. His musical trajectory includes notable albums such as "Desgarrado" and projects like "Forró da Feira," which helped consolidate northeastern culture in southeastern urban centers. Working alongside prominent figures in Brazilian music, his recordings and live performances have featured collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Robertinho de Recife, Tânia Alves, and Zé Ramalho.

In addition to his musical contributions, Teixeira is a recognized environmental activist and writer.
