Biography

Giulia Marinho Kennedy, professionally known as Giulia Be, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, she began playing the piano at the age of six and started writing her own music by eight. Her professional trajectory gained significant momentum after she sang with Maroon 5 backstage at Rock in Rio 2017, an experience that inspired her to leave law school and pursue a full-time career in music.

In 2018, she signed with Warner Music and released her debut collaboration, followed by her official English-language single "Too Bad" in 2019, which quickly entered the charts and television soundtracks. Her breakthrough came with the smash hit "Menina Solta," propelling her to national prominence and earning a diamond certification in Brazil. Alongside contemporaries like Luan Santana, with whom she collaborated on the hit "Inesquecível," Giulia established herself as a major force in contemporary Brazilian pop music.

Beyond her musical achievements, Giulia expanded her artistic footprint into acting, starring in the Netflix romantic drama Depois do Universo in 2022 and releasing her debut studio album, Disco Voador, the same year. Her rapid rise in the Latin music scene was recognized in 2021 when she received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, making her one of the youngest Brazilians ever nominated in the category.
