Biography

Gladston Galliza is a Brazilian singer, guitarist, composer, and producer born in Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, on November 4, 1967. His musical journey began at the age of nine in Belo Horizonte, where he started playing the guitar. His passion for music led him to study at the Music Conservatory of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Galliza's early influences included prominent Brazilian musicians such as Toninho Horta, Milton Nascimento, and Antônio Carlos Jobim, whose sounds deeply inspired his artistic vocation.

In 1989, Galliza moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he participated in various music contests, sharing stages with artists like Lenine. His experience as a studio musician paved the way for his debut in 1994 on César Nascimento's album "Viver Você." Seeking to broaden his musical horizons, Galliza relocated to Madrid, Spain, in 1998. There, he solidified his reputation as a composer and released his first solo album, "Fascinio," in 2004. This album featured a vibrant fusion of Brazilian, Latin American, and Spanish rhythms.

Galliza has since released several more albums, including "Idas e Idas" (2007), "The Album" and "Madrid" (both released exclusively for the Japanese market in 2005 and 2007, respectively), "Alvorada" (2011), "Íntimo" (2010), and "Tres Calles" (2014). He has also toured extensively in Japan, collaborating with musicians like Hugo Fattoruso and Tomohiro Yahiro. Beyond his recording career, Galliza actively performs with his band, produces music for other artists, and leads workshops on Brazilian music and Latin rhythms.
