Biography
Grooveria Electroacústica is a musical collective led by drummer, producer, and arranger Tuto Ferraz. The group is known for their danceable versions of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) classics, presented through refined arrangements that attract a diverse and demanding audience. The collective was born in a musically rich environment, with Tuto Ferraz in early contact with jazz, MPB, and global pop music, which is reflected in the mutable DNA of styles and the collaboration with musicians from various parts of Brazil.
The first album, "Grooveria #1", was released in 2005 and featured guest appearances by artists such as Toninho Horta, Max de Castro, Jair Oliveira, Paula Lima, and Rappin'Hood. The version of Noel Rosa's "Com Que Roupa" stood out, and the original track "Nada Mal" was included in the compilation "Soul Brasil vol. 1". In 2009, the live CD/DVD "Avenida Brasil" reached the top 20 in sales, with guest appearances by Seu Jorge and Max de Castro. The group also expanded their activities to international stages, performing in Europe at festivals such as Maré de Agosto in the Azores and the Brazil Day Festival in Barcelona.
In 2017, they released the album "Moto Contínuo", which followed the line of focusing on original compositions and partnerships with names like Fernanda Abreu and Renato Neto. Grooveria Electroacústica stands out for its ability to bring together talents, creating new partnerships and opening space for new names in the Brazilian music scene, in addition to its versatility in corporate events and theater performances.
