Biography

Grupo Ellas is a Brazilian contemporary Christian music vocal group formed in 2001. The original lineup consisted of three sisters: Betânia Lima, Valéria Lima, and Roberta Lima. Their music often features pop, soul, and gospel influences, and they have released several albums throughout their career.

The group began singing in churches, and their talent was recognized by the record label MK Music, which signed them. Their debut album, "Eterna Graça," was released in 2001, followed by "Compromisso" in 2003, which garnered nominations for Best Group and Best Pop CD at the Troféu Talento awards. Their live album, "Tempo Kairós," released in 2005, was also nominated for Best Group at the Troféu Talento awards in 2006. In 2007, they released "Quem Ora Não Erra," which was noted for its black music style and considered a return to their roots.

Grupo Ellas has been recognized for their vocal harmonies and their contributions to contemporary Christian music in Brazil. They have continued to release music and perform, maintaining a presence in the gospel music scene. Their work often carries messages of faith and hope, resonating with their audience.
