Biography

Grupo Quero Quero is a Brazilian traditionalist gaucho music band, formed in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, in August 1988. Since the beginning, the group has stood out for the technical and visual quality of its performances, combining the professional experience of its members with modern sound and lighting equipment. Their music is strongly influenced by gaucho culture and folklore, with songs that celebrate the universe of the countryside, rodeos, and the traditions of Southern Brazil.

Throughout its career, Grupo Quero Quero has released several albums, establishing itself as one of the most important names in regional music. Songs like "Sogra Gaudéria", "Alerta" and "Um Grito Gaúcho" marked the beginning of their career, achieving great repercussion in the state and opening doors for tours across various regions of the country. The 1993 album "Lá vem o Rio Grande a cavalo" was a milestone in their career, achieving great success and national projection.

The group is known for covering festival songs, giving them new interpretations and arrangements that reflect Quero Quero's musical identity. This characteristic, combined with their energetic performance at dances and shows, keeps the band relevant in the gaucho music scene. Over the years, several musicians have passed through the group, but the essence and commitment to the musical tradition of Rio Grande do Sul remain the pillars of their work.
