Biography

The sertanejo duo Guilherme & Santiago is formed by brothers Herickson Cardoso Rosa (Guilherme) and Henzzo Cardoso Rosa (Santiago), both born in Goiânia, Goiás. Their passion for music runs in the family, as their mother and uncles formed a serenade group, and the brothers always accompanied these performances. Guilherme began his artistic career as a teenager recording advertising jingles, and at age 18 he moved to the United States, where he worked in various fields. Upon returning on vacation, he recorded a jingle as a duo with Santiago, marking the beginning of the duo's career.

The first official performance of Guilherme & Santiago took place at a nightclub in Goiânia, opening a show for the duo Chrystian and Ralf. In 1994, they released their first album with Warner Music, which included the hit "Do outro lado da cidade". Over the years, the duo consolidated their career with several albums and hits that marked the sertanejo scene, such as "Chovendo Estrelas", "Meia-Noite e Meia" and "Jogado na Rua". They also participated in soap opera and movie soundtracks, and hosted the show "Terra Nativa" on Rede Bandeirantes.

With millions of records sold and a trajectory spanning over three decades, Guilherme & Santiago became a reference in romantic and upbeat sertanejo. The duo has released countless albums and DVDs, including "Azul" (2002), "Chovendo Estrelas" (2004) and "10 Anos – Acústico Ao Vivo" (2005). In 2016, they celebrated 20 years of career with an acoustic DVD recorded in Brasília. Currently, they remain active, releasing new music and performing across the country, maintaining their legacy in sertanejo music.
