Guimaraes E O Grupo Som Sagrado was a Brazilian musical group active in the 1970s, known for their eclectic repertoire that spanned various genres. Their 1976 album, released by the Crazy label, showcased a blend of "dancing music," carimbó, international pop, samba, rock, and instrumentals. This versatility made them a popular choice for parties and events, characteristic of the 'conjunto de baile' style prevalent at the time.

The group was led by Maestro Antonio Guimarães, who served as the arranger, music director, and producer, also contributing as an organist and pianist. The ensemble included Carlão on bass, Domingos on drums, Mazza on guitar, and Odair on percussion. Their music often featured a "modern" sound for the era, with Guimarães's long hair and bell-bottom pants on the album cover reflecting the fashion of the 1970s.

Despite their active role in the music scene of the 70s, Guimaraes E O Grupo Som Sagrado is considered a rarity today, with their LP becoming a cult item among collectors.
