Biography

Gustavo Dreher is a Brazilian musician, sound engineer, and music producer, with a strong presence in the independent scene of Rio Grande do Sul and also in other centers such as Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. He is the son of Carlos Dreher, founder of Estúdio Dreher in Porto Alegre, and the brother of Thomas Dreher, with whom he shared the management and technical development of the renowned studio.

Since a young age, Gustavo has been immersed in the universe of music production, working alongside his father and brother at Estúdio Dreher, which became a landmark in the recording of independent gaucho and Brazilian rock. Starting in 1999, he expanded his work to other cities, consolidating his career as a musician, sound engineer, and producer, which earned him the Professionals of Music Award in the PA Engineer category in 2017.

Gustavo Dreher is recognized for his ability to work in tune with artists, seeking a creative and collaborative approach to music production. His contribution, along with that of his brother Thomas, was fundamental to the paradigm shift in phonographic production in Porto Alegre, encouraging experimentation and the creative freedom of musicians. He occasionally collaborates with Estúdio Dreher, maintaining the family legacy and excellence in music production.
