Biography

Hanagorik is a rock band formed in 1991 in the city of Surubim, in the interior of Pernambuco. Recognized for its extreme and competent sound, the band stood out in the Pernambuco and Brazilian rock scene, with performances throughout the Northeast and Southeast of the country, as well as four tours in Europe. Throughout its trajectory, Hanagorik has shared the stage with international names such as Sepultura, Paul Di'anno, Stratovarius and Six Feet Under, and participated in renowned festivals such as Abril Pro Rock.

The band released its first demo tape in 1993, entitled "Imagens e Colagens", followed by "Screaming Again" in 1995. In 1997, it released its first CD, "Uncivil", which yielded a music video broadcasted by Brazilian MTV in 1999. Other notable albums include "For Kids with Some Problems" (2001) and "The Caravan" (2003).

In 2012, Hanagorik released the album "Alceu ao Nosso Jeito", a tribute to singer and songwriter Alceu Valença, produced by Zé da Flauta and featuring guest appearances by Paulo Rafael and Lula Côrtes. This work stood out for revisiting lesser-known songs by Alceu Valença with a more rock 'n' roll sound. The band ceased activities in 2010, but returned in 2017 with members of the original lineup, continuing its trajectory in the musical scene.
