Biography

Formed in Goiânia, Goiás, in 2007, Hellbenders is a Brazilian rock band that has carved a significant niche in the stoner and hard rock scene. The band's core members include Braz Torres (vocals and guitar), Diogo Fleury (guitar and vocals), Rodrigo Andrade (drums), and Vitor Noah (bass). Their sound is characterized by heavy riffs, driving rhythms, and a raw energy that has earned them a dedicated following.

Hellbenders gained national and international recognition early in their career, sharing stages with prominent bands such as Kyuss Lives, Exodus, Truckfighters, and Nashville Pussy. This exposure helped solidify their reputation as a powerful live act. Their debut album, "Brand New Fear!!!", released in 2013, was produced by Carlos Eduardo Miranda and featured songs sung in English, showcasing their commitment to a global rock sound. The album was later released on vinyl in 2013, marking a significant milestone for the band.

In 2014, Hellbenders had the honor of performing at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, a testament to their growing influence. Their second album, "Peyote", was released in 2016 by Hearts Bleed Blue, and was recorded at the renowned Rancho de La Luna studio in California, known for hosting bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal. More recently, Hellbenders has begun exploring compositions in Portuguese, signaling a new phase in their artistic journey, with singles like "Desejar Sem Destruir" and "Delírio" hinting at a more contemporary and dense sound, while still retaining their signature heavy rock foundation.
