Biography

Heloisa de Oliveira Rosa Grubert, known professionally as Heloisa Rosa, is a prominent Brazilian contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist born in Belo Horizonte. Emerging from the vibrant church music scene of Minas Gerais, she developed a distinctive sound heavily influenced by British alternative rock, setting her apart in the domestic gospel landscape. Throughout her career, she has released several acclaimed studio and live albums, notably achieving major success with her 2008 release Estante da Vida under Graça Music.

Before embarking on her solo path in 2003, Rosa honed her craft as a backing vocalist for notable ministry groups such as Santa Geração alongside Nívea Soares, as well as collaborating with Clamor pelas Nações and Atmosfera de Adoração. Her solo debut, Liberta-me, arrived in 2004 and featured early musical contributions from keyboardist Silva, establishing tracks like "Jesus É o Caminho" as staples of modern Brazilian worship music. Over the decades, she has also collaborated with numerous prominent artists in the Christian music sphere, including David Quinlan, Fernandinho, and Mauro Henrique of Oficina G3.

Beyond her prolific discography, which includes records like Confiança and the live project Ao Vivo em São Paulo, Rosa has significantly impacted Christian art through her writing, authoring books centered on faith and artistic expression. Her backing band members notably went on to form the alternative rock group Palavrantiga. Although she temporarily relocated to the United States and paused her career following her second pregnancy, she has continued to release impactful singles and tour within the Brazilian gospel community.
