Biography

Henrique & Juliano is one of the most prominent Brazilian sertanejo universitário duos, consisting of brothers Ricelly Henrique Tavares Reis, known as Henrique, and Edson Alves dos Reis Junior, known as Juliano. Born in Palmeirópolis, in the interior of Tocantins, the brothers developed a passion for music early in life, influenced by artists such as João Paulo & Daniel. They began performing locally during their school years and eventually relocated to Palmas, where they participated in regional music festivals and recorded their early acoustic work.

The duo achieved national recognition after signing with the management company Workshow in 2012, aligning themselves with other major figures in the genre such as Marília Mendonça, Maiara & Maraísa, and Zé Neto & Cristiano. Their breakthrough came with a string of hit songs and successful live albums, including their self-titled 2012 release and subsequent recordings in Brasília, Recife, and São Paulo. Known for drawing massive crowds across Brazil, they became celebrated for anthems like "Não Tô Valendo Nada", "Recaídas", and "Vidinha de Balada".

Over the years, Henrique & Juliano have maintained a dominant presence on streaming platforms and radio charts, frequently ranking among the most-played artists in Brazil. Their deep connection to the genre is further enriched by collaborations with close friends and fellow icons like Marília Mendonça, cementing their legacy as leaders of modern sertanejo music and standard-bearers for cultural output from the state of Tocantins.
