Biography

Igor Kannário, stage name of Anderson Machado de Jesus, was born in Salvador, Bahia, where he began his musical journey in childhood. Popularly known as the "Prince of the Ghetto", the singer built his career exalting the culture and reality of Salvador's outskirts, passing through groups such as Eclipse do Samba, Patrulha do Samba, and A Bronkka before consolidating his solo career. His strong connection to pagode baiano and his irreverent posture have made him a figure of great prominence and also of various controversies in Bahia.

Throughout his trajectory, Kannário has recorded prominent projects, such as the DVD with A Bronkka and, more recently, the record "Bem Vindo À Minha Quebrada", released in 2024. His music and public image frequently dialogue with artists from different strands of the national scene, as seen in partnerships and interactions with names like Tomate, Zé Vaqueiro, and Marcelo Falcão. Besides music, the singer expanded his activities into politics, having held public offices as a city councilman of Salvador and a federal deputy for Bahia.
