Illy Cruz de Almeida Gouveia Santos, known artistically as Illy, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in Salvador, Bahia, on September 6, 1987. Her musical career began in 2012, when she joined the group Samba Dibanda in her hometown. In 2016, she released her debut EP, "Enquanto você não chega", produced by Kassin and featuring renowned musicians such as Domenico Lancellotti and Pedro Sá. The EP featured original tracks and covers, and the release show was presented in Rio de Janeiro, with musical direction by Moreno Veloso.

In 2018, Illy released her first full-length album, "Voo Longe", co-produced by Alexandre Kassin and Moreno Veloso. The record explored a rich blend of genres, including MPB, bossa nova, and rock, and addressed themes such as love and daily life. In 2019, she presented the show "Alô, alô, marciano – Illy canta Elis", as a tribute to Elis Regina, with a special appearance by singer Silva.

Born and raised in Cidade Baixa, in Salvador, Illy's tropical "baianidade" permeates all her works, giving a unique identity to her music.
