Irmãs Cavalcanti was a sertanejo duo formed by sisters Noemi and Odemi Cavalcanti. They stood out in Brazilian popular music, especially in the sertanejo genre, during the 1950s. The duo recorded several hits, such as the baião "Lumiô, lumiô" and the waltz "Saudosa Minas Gerais", both written by the sisters themselves.

Their discography includes recordings for the Columbia label, featuring the rasqueados "Além das fronteiras" and "Noites do Paraguai", as well as "Ponta Porã" and "Terra distante". Irmãs Cavalcanti's compositions frequently explored themes related to rural life and love, with melodies that recalled Brazilian musical traditions.
