Biography

Ivan Busic Neto, born in São Paulo on February 15, 1967, is a renowned Brazilian drummer, vocalist, and songwriter. Son of trumpeter André Busic, Ivan grew up in a musical environment that influenced him early on with genres like jazz, blues, country, and rock. His musical career began at age 15 when he formed his first band, Prisma, alongside his brother Andria Busic. Later, the band changed its name to Platina, with which he released his first album in 1985. Throughout his career, Ivan Busic has been a member of several prominent bands in the national rock scene, such as Cherokee, Slogan, Taffo, and notably Dr. Sin, a band formed in 1991 alongside his brother Andria Busic and guitarist Eduardo Ardanuy. With Dr. Sin, Ivan participated in major festivals like Hollywood Rock, Monsters of Rock, and Skol Rock, cementing the group as one of the most important Brazilian hard rock bands.

In addition to his work with Dr. Sin, Ivan Busic has also collaborated with other artists and bands, including Ultraje a Rigor, Supla, and Eduardo Araújo. His versatility led him to explore different musical facets, including a solo project where he also takes on vocals and guitars, influenced by the blues. In 2026, he released the single "Let the Night Roll In" and the album "Into the Blues", demonstrating his passion for this musical genre.
