Biography

Jads Paulo Alves dos Santos, known mononymously as Jads, is a Brazilian sertanejo singer and songwriter. Born in Catanduvas, Paraná, he formed the highly successful duo Jads & Jadson with his brother, Jadson Alves dos Santos. Their musical journey began in their childhood, and they moved to Ponta Porã, Mato Grosso do Sul, where they participated in various music festivals.

The duo recorded their first CD in 1990, but it was with their 2003 "Acústico" album, featuring their own compositions, that they gained regional recognition. Their national breakthrough came with the 2004 album "Dom Brasileiro," propelled by the hit song "Com Todos Menos Comigo." This success led to performances across Brazil, solidifying their place in the sertanejo music scene.

Throughout their career, Jads, alongside his brother, has released numerous albums and DVDs, achieving significant success with hits like "Jeito Carinhoso" and "Planos Impossíveis." They are also known for their ventures beyond music, being involved in cattle ranching in Mato Grosso do Sul and Pará. Their authentic style, which blends traditional sertanejo with contemporary elements, has influenced a generation of artists.
