Biography

Jefferson Farias Fernandes, known professionally as Jefferson Farias, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and television presenter. Born in Tocantinópolis, Tocantins, he moved to São Paulo in the 1980s, where he began his career performing in nightclubs. His early work included recording a single under the pseudonym Paulo Fernandes. Farias gained significant recognition in the 1990s for his songwriting, with his compositions being recorded by numerous prominent Brazilian artists.

His songs have been performed by popular sertanejo duos and singers such as Edson & Hudson, Bruno & Marrone, Leandro & Leonardo, Roberta Miranda, and Sérgio Reis. Among his most successful compositions are "Caçador de corações" (Heart Hunter), "O grande amor da minha vida" (The Great Love of My Life), "Sai dessa coração" (Get Out of This, Heart), and "Escravo do amor" (Slave of Love). These songs achieved success not only in Brazil but also internationally, reaching audiences in France, Spain, Portugal, and across Latin America.

Beyond his career as a songwriter and singer, Jefferson Farias has also worked as a television presenter.
