Biography

Rodrigo Silva dos Santos, artistically known as Jerry Smith, was born in Una, Bahia, but spent much of his childhood in the city of Diadema, São Paulo. Before entering music, he tried his hand at a professional soccer career, moving into the artistic scene in 2015 when he formed a funk duo with MC Zaac.

National recognition came in 2016 with the release of the mega-hit "Bumbum Granada", a track that reached the top of the Spotify and iTunes charts, in addition to making an international impact in countries like Portugal and Paraguay. After the duo split at the end of that same year, Jerry pursued a solo career and landed several hits in partnership with major names in national urban music, such as MC WM, Mr. Catra, and Wesley Safadão.

Throughout his solo trajectory, the singer expanded his musical versatility by releasing projects like the EP Versão Pagodão in 2019, consolidating himself as one of the leading exponents of contemporary Brazilian funk. Over the years, he has collaborated with several prominent artists, including MC Loma e As Gêmeas Lacração, maintaining a strong presence on streaming platforms and at parties across the country.
