Biography

João Biano is a Brazilian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist born on January 21, 1984, in Bauru, São Paulo.

His musical journey began in his adolescence, where he played tuba in the Banda Marcial do Liceu Noroeste de Bauru and was a drummer in several pop/rock bands. Biano also worked as a safety technician before dedicating himself fully to music. In 2012, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, accepting an invitation from Pedro Luís to perform as a vocalist with Monobloco.

Biano's career has been marked by diverse artistic experiences, including acting in theater productions and performing in various musical projects. He was a founding member of the group Monte de Bossa, later renamed Preto Básico, and created the show "Eller – um show sobre Cássia Eller." He has also performed with the band Mister Up and interpreted artists like Zé Ketti and Jair Rodrigues in musical revivals. In 2015, he released his debut solo album, "Caos&Beleza," which explores the duality of extremes in Rio de Janeiro, featuring collaborations with artists like Pedro Luís. His music is often described as "pop batuque," blending pop elements with a strong percussion base. He has also performed with carioca street bands like Quizomba and Estratégia.
