Biography

Jônatas Batista Neto is a Brazilian composer, classical guitarist, and university professor. Born in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, he has stood out in the contemporary classical music scene, with a focus on the classical guitar. His musical training includes studies with renowned teachers such as Isaias Savio and Diogo Piazza for guitar, and Roberto Schnorrenberg for theory and harmony.

In addition to his musical career, Jônatas Batista Neto holds a PhD in Medieval History and works as an associate professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), teaching at the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences (FFLCH). This duality between music and academia demonstrates his versatility and intellectual depth.

His work as a composer has been recognized and published by publishing houses specialized in classical music, such as Productions d'Oz, which includes his work in its catalog.
