Biography

Jonas Ferraz, also known as Jota Ferraz, has been a significant figure in the Brazilian hip-hop scene since 2004. He began his artistic journey in Diadema, São Paulo, where he participated in workshops at the Casa do Hip Hop. This early involvement laid the foundation for his career in music.

Ferraz was a co-founder of the hip-hop group Viciados no Rap (VNRAP). After a hiatus of approximately ten years, the group released their first album, "E se não fosse nóiz?", in 2017. Following the group's release, Jota Ferraz began performing more extensively, both in his hometown and beyond.

In 2019, he launched a parallel solo EP titled "Renascimento," followed by another release the subsequent year. His music often reflects the realities and experiences of urban life, contributing to the rich tapestry of Brazilian hip-hop.
