Biography

Luiz Carlos Figueiredo Mello, widely known as Juninho Bill, was born in Guarulhos on July 7, 1977. He started his musical journey at a very young age, placing third at the Festival Internacional da Criança at just six years old and subsequently appearing on Silvio Santos's television program Domingo no Parque. His early success paved the way for him to join the cast of Clube da Criança on Rede Manchete alongside Xuxa, Patrícia Marx, and Luciano Nassyn. In 1985, he became a core member of the immensely popular children's musical group Trem da Alegria, performing alongside peers and sharing the mic with notable artists like Evandro Mesquita on hits such as "Fera Neném". He remained with the group until its dissolution in 1992, selling approximately four million records throughout his tenure.

Following his initial musical success, Juninho Bill transitioned into a professional football career, playing as a midfielder for the youth ranks of Corinthians and Portuguesa, as well as competing professionally for Sinop and Rio Branco de Americana before retiring from the sport at age twenty. He later returned to music and academics, earning a degree in journalism while fronting various bands including Acesso Livre, Schulapa, and Astros (later known as Era Astros). In addition to his musical endeavors, he established himself behind the scenes as a television producer, notably joining Danilo Gentili's team at SBT for the late-night talk show The Noite in 2014, and later participating in the reality television show A Fazenda in 2024.
