Biography

Banda Kadoshi is a milestone in the history of Brazilian Christian music, pioneering the fusion of rhythms such as gospel with influences from blues, soul, R&B, rap, and rock. Formed in the early 1970s in São Paulo, the band went through different phases and names, such as "Os Redimidos" and "Actos 2", before consolidating as Kadoshi in the late 1980s. Their name, of Hebrew origin, means "holy".

The band's discography includes acclaimed albums such as "Encontro" (1992) and "Compromisso" (1993), which shaped a generation and are remembered to this day for their innovative sound and messages of faith. Kadoshi also stood out for being one of the first national bands to incorporate a choir in their performances, expanding the musical possibilities within the gospel genre.

The legacy of Banda Kadoshi is undeniable, having influenced several prominent contemporary groups in the Christian scene, such as Oficina G3, Katsbarnea, and Resgate.
