Biography

KalangoDuo is a Brazilian musical duo formed by the couple from Goiás, Laryssa and Wescley Kalango. Active in the independent scene since 2019, the group stands out for their "home-cooked and well-seasoned music," with influences that range through pop and soul, but venture into various rhythms, presenting unique interpretations of original songs and covers of national and international classics.

KalangoDuo's lyrics address deep themes such as anxiety, existential crises, self-knowledge, and life itself, seeking to create an immersive experience that transcends mere entertainment. The duo has a strong connection to the cultural circuit of Goiás, being a constant presence in Pirenópolis, where they perform weekly shows, and participating in important festivals such as Canto da Primavera and FICA – Festival Internacional de Cinema e Vídeo Ambiental.

With an original body of work that reflects the experiences of the Cerrado, KalangoDuo has released singles and EPs such as "#doCerradoProMundo", which includes tracks like "Kalango" and "Por que eu?". The duo also performs on digital platforms and maintains an active presence on social media, promoting their sound and interacting with their audience.
