Biography

Kaoll is a Brazilian instrumental jazz-rock band founded in São Paulo in 2008 on the initiative of guitarist Bruno Moscatiello. The group emerged from the album "Kaoll 04", initially conceived as a solo work influenced by psychedelia, progressive rock, and the aesthetic of 70s jam bands. Throughout its trajectory, the band has stood out for its constant pursuit of experimental sounds and the appreciation of instrumental music, undertaking several major partnerships on the national scene.

In its early years, the ensemble gained prominence with the "Kaoll & Lanny Gordin" partnership, joining forces with the legendary Tropicália guitarist for an intense concert schedule and the recording of the acclaimed album "Auto-Hipnose" (2010). This period also featured guest appearances by instrumentalists such as the virtuoso Michel Leme. Starting in 2012, following the departure of Lanny Gordin, the band embarked on an instrumental tribute to the British group Pink Floyd, incorporating elements of jazz and Brazilian music.

In 2014, Kaoll released its third studio album, entitled "Odd", which consolidated the original streak of the trio formed by Bruno Moscatiello, Dokter Leo, and Yuri Garfunkel. The record featured international collaboration from bassist Billy Cox, as well as prominent names in Brazilian music such as João Parahyba, Ricardo Vignini, Fábio Ribeiro, and Gabriel Costa, propelling the group to its first international tour in Germany and Italy. The band's discography also includes works such as "Sob os Olhos de Eva" (2017) and the compilation "Ten Years Barbecue" (2018).
