Biography

Karen Keldani Raphael, born in Rio de Janeiro on March 20, 1979, is a Brazilian singer and actress. Her artistic journey began at a young age, participating in her school choir at Notre Dame College in Ipanema, where she performed as a child soloist. By the age of twelve, she had already ventured into television, joining the cast of the TV Globo soap opera "Araponga." Keldani's passion for the performing arts led her to extensive training in classical ballet, jazz, and tap dance at the Eloiza Menezes Dance Conservatory from ages 10 to 25. She also pursued theater studies at the Laura Alvim Cultural Center, graduating from the Acting School at UniverCidade in 2000. Her vocal training included studies with notable instructors such as Maria Helena Bezzi, Victor Prochet, Mirna Rubim, and Ester Elias.

Keldani has a significant career in musical theater, having performed in various productions. Notably, she played Saint Clare in "Francisco de Assis" for seven years, touring extensively across Brazil, South America, and Europe between 2000 and 2007. She also starred in the musical "Sessão da Tarde" in 2008 and participated in other productions like "Constellation" (2004), "Eco Show" (2006), "Auto da Alegria" (2008), and "A Paixão de Cristo" (2009). Her musical work often intersects with religious themes, as seen in her albums "Minha Fé" (2012) and "Alma Feminina – As Canções de Ricardo Brito" (2010).
