Biography

Karin Pereira de Souza, known professionally as Karin Hils, is a Brazilian singer and actress born in Paracambi on February 7, 1979. She rose to nationwide fame in 2002 after winning the reality talent show Popstars, which led her to become a founding member of the highly successful girl group Rouge. Alongside group mates such as Aline Wirley, she achieved massive commercial success with hits like "Ragatanga", selling millions of records and establishing the group as a prominent pop phenomenon in Brazil.

Following the initial disbandment of Rouge, Hils transitioned into a multifaceted career in musical theatre and television. She showcased her acting and vocal talents in numerous high-profile theatrical productions, including Hairspray, Hair, and the Brazilian staging of Sister Act, where she took on a leading role. Her television credits feature recurring roles in popular series and telenovelas such as Pé na Cova, Carinha de Anjo, and O Coro: Sucesso, Aqui Vou Eu.

In 2017, Hils temporarily reunited with Rouge for a successful anniversary tour and new musical releases before launching her solo career in 2020 with the R&B and pop-infused single "Fogo". Throughout her career, she has collaborated with prominent producers and artists, maintaining a strong presence in the Brazilian entertainment industry as both a dynamic vocalist and a versatile actress.
