Kayblack, born Kaik Silva Reis, emerged from São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, Brazil, showcasing his musical talent from a young age. He began composing music at 12, drawing inspiration from artists like Felipe Boladão and Neguinho do Kaxeta. His early life was marked by challenges, including his family being evicted from their home in 2017. Despite these hardships, Kayblack continued to pursue his passion, co-writing the hit "Favela também pode" with his brother, MC Caverinha, who is also a prominent figure in the Brazilian trap scene.

After working as a music producer, Kayblack launched his solo career in 2020 with the single "Bandido mau," which garnered over 5 million views on YouTube. He quickly became known for his distinctive blend of rap and funk, bringing significant visibility to Brazilian trap music. In 2022, Forbes Brasil recognized his impact by including him in their "Under 30" list, highlighting young, rising talents. The following year, he released his debut EP, "Contradições," which explored personal themes and achieved widespread success, with the hit "Melhor só" accumulating 100 million views.

Kayblack's career is characterized by his authentic lyrics, which often touch upon personal experiences, his worldview, and the realities of urban life and social inequality.
