Kevin de Oliveira Zanoni, known professionally as Kevin o Chris, is a prominent Brazilian singer and songwriter recognized for his contributions to funk carioca, particularly as a key representative of the 150 BPM style. Born in Duque de Caxias, he began his musical journey in 2014 performing as a DJ at local parties alongside DJ Davizinho, adopting his stage name due to a resemblance to characters from the television series Everybody Hates Chris. Over the following years, he rose to prominence by championing the faster-paced 150 BPM rhythm and becoming a central figure associated with the famous Baile da Gaiola in the Complexo da Penha.

In 2018, Kevin o Chris released early hits such as "Dentro do Carro," before achieving massive nationwide success with tracks like "Vamos Pra Gaiola," a collaboration with DJ FP do Trem Bala that reached the top of the Brazilian Spotify charts and earned a triple platinum certification.
